THE WORLD’S FIRST REVOLUTIONARY ROBOTIC NAVIGATION PLATFORM
ExcelsiusGPS™ is the first and only robotic navigation platform on the market that offers a comprehensive approach to spine and cranial procedures, from start to finish. The system enables repeatable and accurate trajectory alignment and navigation for placing screws, interbody implants, and cranial instruments.
ExcelsiusGPS™ is helping surgeons and hospitals provide the best possible treatment options for their patients. This includes the platform’s dependable robotic navigational applications for both spine and cranial procedures.
System Component
End Effector
For spine applications, there are two interchangeable end effectors: the End Effector for real-time tracked movement during screw placement and the Motion Lock End Effector for a stable retractor/port system for interbody solutions.
Dynamic Reference Base
The dynamic reference base (DRB) is placed in the patient to register the patient’s location in relation to the end effector; meanwhile, the surveillance marker provides live feedback on movement of the DRB for a higher degree of confidence and safety redundancies should the DRB shift during the procedure.
Integrated Pedicle Screw Systems
Designed specifically for placement with ExcelsiusGPS™ robotic navigation, Globus Medical pedicle screws enhance MIS procedures by simplifying pedicle preparation while maintaining navigational accuracy.
